The Total Heat Exchanger is a high-efficiency energy recovery ventilation device that introduces fresh outdoor air while exhausting stale indoor air, transferring both heat and moisture between the two airstreams through an internal enthalpy exchange core. With a total heat recovery efficiency of 70%-90%, it significantly reduces the heating and cooling load on HVAC equipment.
Commercial office buildings, hotels, shopping malls, conference rooms, schools, hospitals, museums, cinemas, stadiums, data centers, laboratories, and ship cabins where air quality and energy efficiency are critical. Also applicable for industrial exhaust treatment containing odors and dust.
Indoor exhaust air and outdoor fresh air flow through the enthalpy exchange core in a cross-flow pattern. Driven by temperature differential and water vapor partial pressure difference, heat and moisture transfer through the separating plates. In summer, cool exhaust air pre-cools and dehumidifies incoming hot fresh air; in winter, warm exhaust air pre-heats and humidifies cold fresh air, recovering the majority of exhaust energy.
