The Direct Expansion (DX) Air Conditioning Unit is a self-contained large-scale AC system where refrigerant evaporates directly in the air being treated, achieving "single-stage heat exchange" and eliminating the secondary "refrigerant-water-air" transfer of conventional central AC. The system comprises an outdoor compressor-condenser unit and an indoor air handling unit, connected directly via copper piping.
Commercial buildings including malls, offices, hotels, restaurants, and theaters; industrial and special environments such as factory workshops, precision electronics facilities, pharmaceutical/food production rooms, cleanrooms, laboratories, and data centers; public facilities including schools, hospitals, and transportation hubs.
The system operates on a complete refrigeration cycle: the compressor compresses low-pressure refrigerant gas into high-temperature, high-pressure gas, which enters the condenser to release heat and condense into high-pressure liquid; the liquid refrigerant passes through an expansion valve for pressure reduction, then enters the evaporator where it absorbs heat from the treated air and evaporates, cooling and dehumidifying the air; the evaporated gas returns to the compressor to complete the cycle.
